Interns get to work with a dynamic team of young movers and shakers and work alongside key decision makers in government and several business sectors. Our board of directors and advisors comprise of current and former government ministers across multiple countries, heads of multinational corporations and foundations and policy researchers and developers. They get a prime opportunity to effect policy changes across the Caribbean region by liaising with governments and international organizations and contribute to the effective eradication of education inequity for Caribbean inner-city children.

Youths For Excellence supports inner-city children in 5 Caribbean countries: Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada by providing holistic education support. We provide students with nutrition, educational resources and tutoring and healthcare and support their families by giving them opportunities for career and personal development. We have assisted over 800 children holistically. Our last event was a Back to School Event at the Office of the Prime Minister where 36 children were each provided with tablets (from Digicel). e-learning logins and required textbooks (from LearningHub.Online), 3 month's food supply (1 month each from Grace Kennedy, Seprod and Purity Bakery), school supplies (from Sangster's BookStores and LogoStitch Manufacturing Company) and 2 month's bus passes (from JUTC). Our Guest Speaker was Minister of Science, Energy and Technology at the time, The Honourable Fayval Williams. Our work earned us the Prime Minister's Youth Award for Excellence in Nation Building in 2018. Read up more on us at: www.youthsforexcellence.org
